Far too often we underestimate how a child's surrounding environment plays a crucial role in their future development. For fifteen percent of their lives they are completely conditioned by the people around them and influenced by the environments they live in. Everything from their parents, cultures, schools and communities can put limits on how a child is able to perceive what is real. Each influence, each experience, each stimuli creates a spool of thread from which that young child will sew their own relationships and experiences with others, and ultimately with the world.

We must not only recognize, but appreciate that the children of today will grow to occupy the world in twenty years; and at that point it's beyond being just about the children, it's about the future.
